Confirmation of more Mexican actors arriving in Belize has come to our news desk as filming fo Reina del Sur 2 commenced yesterday, July 10, 2018 at the Xunantunich Maya Archaeological Site in the Cayo District, Belize. Joining Kate del Castillo in Belize for the filming of scenes of the second part of the immensely popular telenovela Reina del Sur, are supporting actors Humberto Zurita and Mark Tacher, two well-known actors in Mexico.
Both Humberto Zurita and Mark Tacher were spotted at the distinguished Ka’ana Resort just outside San Ignacio Town. Mark even shared a selfie on his Instagram account stating: “Having a blast! Beautiful as intended to be. #Telemundo #working #entertainer #goodvibes #thankful.” He also shared a short video clip in which he was caught in a rainstorm during yesterday’s filming in Belize. He made fun of the fact that he was promised sunshine in the Caribbean setting of Belize.

Pictures also surfaced of the film set at the renowned Maya site of Xunantunich. The site was partially opened to the public with Telemundo posting signs indicating they are filming scenes and background material in the area in connection with the television production of Reina del Sur 2. Upon knowledge of the celebrities arriving in the area and filming at the site, nearby residents flooded the entrance of the Xunantunich hoping to get a glimpse of their favorite actors. The Reina del Sur novela was also very popular in Belize.
