Five young ladies competed at this year’s Miss San Pedro Pageant which took place on Saturday, September 7, 2019 under the theme “Jewels of the Sea”. Helen Barrera, Tanisha Rhaburn, Litzy Castillo, Eileen Reyes and Blanca Velasquez took on the stage at the Hon. Louis Sylvestre Sporting Complex, venue for this year’s pageant. At event’s end, Miss Litzy Castillo Guillen sponsored by Ramon’s Village Resort, was selected as Miss San Pedro 2019.
The San Pedro Town Council and the Miss San Pedro Pageant Committee put on a great show filled with music, dance and entertainment. The contestants opened the show with a dance presentation along with Miss San Pedro 2018, Chelsea Munoz. They competed in three segments which included the cultural costumes, swimwear and evening gown competitions. Live singing and dance performances by Alma Caribena Dance Group from Chetumal, Q. Roo and Local Artist Guillermo “El Criminal” Rivero.
Selected as Miss Congeniality was Eileen Reyes and Blanca Velasquez took the prize for Miss Photogenic. First Runner Up went to Tanisha Rhaburn and the coveted title of Miss San Pedro was given to Litzy Castillo Guillen. Coronation of the new Miss San Pedro takes place tomorrow, Tuesday, September 10 followed by a uniform parade. Ambergris Today congratulates our newest beauty ambassador Litzy Castillo Guillen!
