Groundbreaking for Three School Buildings in San Pedro

The Ministry of Education has embarked on constructing thirty-five schools across the country in an effort to improve the quality of education in Belize. And on Thursday, December 19, 2019, two separate ground breaking ceremonies took place in Caye Caulker and in San Pedro.

Caye Caulker will get a new pre-school and Ocean Academy High School will receive expansion with a state of the art facility. While San Pedro will see the construction of three (3) state of the art school buildings which will house Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary High School to be located 7 miles North of San Pedro Town.

Education Minister Patrick Faber says the construction of the schools forms part of the larger project that the ministry has embarked on. Officially carrying out the ground breaking in San Pedro was Belize Rural South Area Representative – Honorable Manuel Heredia Jr., Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture Honorable Patrick Faber and Mayor Daniel Guerrero.
