Over Seven Miles of Paved Roads Coming to San Pedro

Islanders are happy to see this project take off this week. The San Pedro Town Council and Hon. Andre Perez joined in the ground-breaking of the first phase of the concrete streets renovation program on Thursday, May 11, 2023. The infrastructural project will see 7.5 miles of concrete roads by the end of the year, which will run through the main streets of San Pedro including Marina Drive, through subdivisions such as DFC, San Pablo, San Pedrito, San Juan, and Boca del Rio, ending at San Mateo.

Phase 1 of the paving project has commenced at the south gas station will run all the way to the entrance of the marina road. It will connect the San Pablo, San Marcos, DFC, Ellis and Eiley subdivisions to the network of paved roads.

Hon. Andre Perez has stated, “This was a promise made to the hard-working people of San Pedro. Better streets translate into better infrastructure to enhance our tourism, business and other diverse forms of livelihoods growing our economy and improving quality of life for all.”
