If you have picked up a bottle of Crystal Water lately and noticed a different label, there is a simple explanation: the familiar Belizean brand is getting a new look. Bowen & Bowen, Ltd. has announced the rollout of Crystal by Dasani, a branding change that the company says brings a fresh identity to the water consumers have trusted for decades.
While the new name and packaging may catch your attention on store shelves, Bowen & Bowen says the water inside remains unchanged, with the same production process, taste and quality standards. The transition aligns Crystal with Dasani, The Coca-Cola Company’s global bottled water brand, while building on Crystal Water’s longstanding presence in Belizean homes and everyday life.
The refreshed branding first appeared on Crystal’s five-gallon bottles and is now being introduced across the brand’s other packaging offerings. As the rollout continues, shoppers may find bottles with the original Crystal Water label alongside those carrying the new Crystal by Dasani design. According to the company, both contain the exact same water.
Crystal Water’s new Identity
“Crystal has earned its place in Belizean homes over many years, and that trust is what this evolution is built on,” said Leonel Reyes, General Manager, Sales for Bowen & Bowen, Ltd. Reyes explained that the updated identity connects the familiar local brand with the international recognition of Dasani, while preserving what consumers already know about the product.
“Crystal by Dasani gives a much-loved local brand a fresh identity and a connection to one of the world’s leading water brands,” he said. “What matters most hasn’t changed, it’s the same great water, made the same way.”
For Belizean consumers, the most noticeable change will be the label as the refreshed bottles gradually make their way onto shelves across the country.
