Christmas Around the World! was this year’s theme for the Island Academy annual Christmas Pageant that was held on Wednesday, October 17, 2014, at the school grounds. The event is getting bigger every year as this time around a couple more tents were set up to make more space for the large audience that makes it to the show.
Teacher Barbara Ancona Cook took the reigns in organizing and directing the show this year which depicted unique Christmas/New Year celebrations in different parts of the world that included Mexico, Peru, Japan, Germany and Africa, among others. Through song, dance and costumes, the students of Island Academy brought in the Christmas spirit through various cultures around the world, but in the end the entire student body sang how “There is no place like December in San Pedro”.
