Hol Chan Marine Reserve’s Reef Week 2018 is in full swing. Today, Thursday, May 10, 2018, the reef fair took place at Central Park and students from verious schools and the public in general were invited to attend a very informative fair.
There were booths from the Department of Environemnt, Reef Angels, Hol Chan Marine Reserve, RRR Rescue, ACES and the San Pedro House of Culture. Children learned about protected areas, protected fish, the environment, the invasive lion fish and even about crocodiles. The House of culture displayed pictures of fishermen witht their big catch and talked about healthy fishing and conservation. It was a very hot day but refreshements were availbale for those in attendance courtesy of Hol Chan Marine Reserve.
