Mrs. Martha Badillo – Mother of the Year 2018

On Saturday, May 12, 2018, The San Pedro Town Council along with Hon. Manuel Heredia Jr. hosted its annual Mother’s Day Extravaganza at the Hon. Louis Sylvestre Sports Complex, where the mothers were greeted and presented with a special gift as they entered.

It was a night filled with lots of laughter and entertainment. Mothers were serenaded by San Pedro’s very own Wil & Dale featuring Mr. Fernando Trejo. El Buki imitator, Ismael Chacon delighted the crowd with popular songs as well. While Yaka’s Elite Dancers entertained with awesome choreographed dances.

This year’s Mother of the Year was 78-year-old, Mrs. Martha Badillo. Mrs. Badillo was born and raised in San Pedro Town and was married to fisherman, Mr. Ramon Badillo and had eleven children. Mrs. Badillo has always been dedicated to her family and her household. She was crowned by outgoing Mother of the year Mrs. Maria Elena Alamilla.

The highlight of the night consisted of the international presentation of Mexican performer Nani Namu with her “Show of Stars.” Comedian and performer Nani Namu imitated famous artists such as Gloria Trevi, Pimpinela, Alejandra Guzman, Ninel Conde and more.
