The Miss Chiquitita Pageant just recently held was indeed a bang. It is one of San Pedro’s most highly attended and high energy events. In this flashback we get to appreciate the very first Miss Chiquitita that set the pace for this gracious, energetic and proud event of San Pedro.
The first Miss Chiquitita was Jean Seruntine who was crowned in 1996. Many of us recall her great talent show in which she imitated Ana Barbara in costume, dance and style. Jean started her stage life with this event, after which she became a stage artist and participated in many prestigious events including the high school festival of arts. Today Jean is attending University in the United States but the tradition of Miss Chiquitita still continues.
