Scarleth Delgado and Anna Haylock Represent San Pedro
Beauty, Poise and Grace; that and much more is what Scarleth Delgado and Anna Haylock have and will be proudly representing our beautiful Isla Bonita at the Queen of the Jewel – The Next Miss Belize Pageant 2010 at the end of November. Ambergris Today met up with these two lovely ladies to learn more on their “Journey to the Next Miss Belize”.

Nineteen year-old Scarleth Delgado, is currently studying modeling and acting at the John Robert Powers School Systems in New York City.
What are you doing to prepare yourself for the grand night?
“I have been working very hard to prepare for this pageant. I exercise twice a day, study my questions, research on my country and take it very seriously. I take every piece of advice that is given to me very seriously.”
Who or what motivated you to enter this pageant?
“My friends convinced me to enter the pageant and they have shown great support. I feel very confident entering this pageant as it also one of the many goals that I have set for myself. I am thankful to my parents for their full support.”
“I am in this pageant to win as I am very confident. Each one of us is already a winner by being in the competition. I have gotten really close to the girls and I wish them all the best!”

Nineteen year-old, Anna Haylock, will commence her studies on January 2011 in Canada where she will be studying Cosmetology. One of Anna’s most memorable moments while being a contestant in this pageant has been going to Maruba for their photo shoot. For her it was a fun experience and had a great time getting to know the girls much better.
What are you doing to prepare yourself for the grand night?
“I have been taking this very seriously. I have done lots of travelling visiting many places around the country and getting to know more about Belize so that I can be ready for pageant night.”
Who or what motivated you to enter this pageant?
“It’s a bit unbelievable but my boyfriend signed me up for the pageant and by him doing so I got a lot of confidence. I believe I can do my best in this pageant.”
“I am very confident in participating in this pageant; I am very friendly, outgoing and I have what it takes to be the Next Miss Belize.”
San Pedro, it’s time to show your support to these two beautiful young and energetic Sanpedranas – Scarleth and Anna. Organizers of the Queen of the Jewel – The Next Miss Belize, will be holding an evening of fashion and preliminary judging featuring the couture designs of RH Creation and starring the 2010 delegates and special guest models. “The Royal Parade” Fashion Show, will take place this Saturday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the San Pedro Lions Den. Pageant night is set for November, 27, 2010 at The Bliss Center for the Performing Arts.
