One week after the tragic double murder that shook the island, San Pedro residents, this time joining the Lebanese community, once again took to the streets in protest on Sunday, united in their call for justice for businessman David Harmouch and security guard Daniel Jones.
Dozens of islanders marched peacefully through the streets of San Pedro, carrying signs bearing the message “Justice for David & Daniel.” Others held photographs of David Harmouch as they walked in solidarity, hoping to keep attention focused on the ongoing investigation and the need for answers.
The march marked the second public demonstration since the June 28 shooting at Island Supermarket, where Harmouch and Jones lost their lives in a brazen daytime attack. Two other members of the Harmouch family were also injured during the incident.
Police investigations remain active, and while several persons of interest have been detained and questioned, no criminal charges have been announced to date. Investigators say four armed men entered the supermarket, opened fire, and fled the scene, leaving behind a tragedy that has deeply impacted the San Pedro community.
Protest for Authorities to Intensify Efforts to Solve Case

Sunday’s demonstration follows an earlier gathering held outside the San Pedro Police Station shortly after the shooting. That protest, organized primarily by members of Belize’s Lebanese community, called on authorities to intensify their efforts to solve the case and bring those responsible to justice.
As the investigation continues, the message from Sunday’s march was clear: the families, friends, and residents of San Pedro are determined to keep the memory of David Harmouch and Daniel Jones alive while demanding accountability and justice for a crime that has left the entire island mourning.

Why no charges yet ? Seems strange that not 1 person detained has not had any type of charge to allow the police to keep them in custody while the investigation continues..If there are no charges levied then i believe they have to be set free
