Author and photographer Marius Jovaiša, of Heavenly Belize was in San Pedro over the weekend hosting a book sale and signing event that was held at Victoria House on Friday, December 9, 2011. Marius recently released the second edition of his popular aerial photography book on Belize, called Heavenly Belize.
New to the book are pictures that Marius wanted to include in the first edition but was unable to because of time constraints. The pictures include that of La Rua Maya canoe competition and aerial shots of different cave systems in the country, among others.
Heavenly Belize is one of the finest aerial photography books on Belize and this event was the second of two in Belize where the public had the opportunity to meet with the author, purchase the first and/or second edition and have their books signed.
This book encompasses majestic views of Belize’s mountains, Maya ruins, the islands, the reef, its wildlife and the many faces of the Belizean people. Each book is sold with its own gift bag, and is available for $90Bze at book outlets countrywide.
Photographer, publisher, author of documentary films, Marius Jovaiša was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, on 21 June, 1973. Since his young days, Marius Jovaisa was deeply interested in videography and photography especially aerial photography. Marius Jovaisa’s personal photo exhibitions have been organized in almost twenty countries of the world including Australia, Japan, Canada, Argentina, USA, Cuba, Mexico, France and others.
