San Pedro High School hosted its annual Cultural Day at the R. Angel Nuñez Auditorium today, Novermber 18, 2014, with colorful and festive booths. Students showcased different ethnic groups from Belize including their delicious food and impressive cultural performances. This year they featured international countries such as Spain, Italy, Hawaii and much more.

On Saturday, November 8, 2014, local businesses of San Pedro Town, family and friends gathered to show their support to Raquel Badillo who was officially crowned as Miss World Belize. The fundraising event took place at Fido’s Courtyard.

School children were out by the hundreds in their Halloween costumes all this week, enjoying the all-time childhood favorite event of 'Trick-or-Treating'. Most schools on the island hold their Halloween parties and Trick-or-Treat events and the children visit designated businesses and households that have special goodies in stock for them.

Saga Humane Society Rocks Halloween in San Pedro Now in its 11th year, Saga Humane Society’s Halloween Spooktacular event shows no sign of slowing down. The fundraiser party keeps getting bigger and better with a record number of attendants at this year’s event that took place at Carlo and Ernie’s Runway Bar and Grill on Sunday, October 26, 2014.

It may not be Halloween just yet, but the Holiday Hotel in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize, decided to celebrate one weekend earlier on Saturday, October 25, 2014. It is definitely the biggest Halloween celebration on Ambergris Caye, (probably in all of Belize) as hundreds flocked to the popular venue in costumes to celebrate.

On Saturday, October 11, 2014, Dianita Cal celebrated her Quinceaños (15th Birthday) along with her friends and family in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. She received her blessing at the Roman Catholic Church and a reception followed.

Memorial service was held today, Friday, 17 October 2014, for Eric “Bird” Garcia who went missing on Monday, October 13, 2014, at sea after a capsizing incident by the reef led to his disappearance.

Saturday, September 13, 2014, the lovely Kirsty Arnott Celebrated her Quinceaños (15th Birthday) in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. She celebrated with close family and friends at a private party held in her honor at the Lion's Den. Kirsty, daughter of Idelida and Michael Arnott (+), was officially presented to society by her godparents Lisette Graniel and Ruben Gonzalez Jr.

On September 6, 2014 many gathered in Belize City to witness some of the most beautiful carnival costumes to grace the stage at this year’s Carnival King and Queen Competition. Each team showcased their best costume performance to impress the judges, while the crowd cheered on.

Music teacher Carlos Perrote just concluded his second annual Summer Music Camp after having held a very successful one for the first time last year.The musical camp offers mostly young students the opportunity to learn a variety of instruments and allows them to showcase their talent at a musical presentation at the end of the camp.

Thursday, June 26, 2014, families and friends gathered at R. Angel Nunez auditorium to support and celebrate the Isla Bonita Elementary School’s Fashion Fiesta. It was an end of the year summer send-off and fundraiser for the school’s students.

The San Pedro Dance Academy teamed up once again with the Wisconsin Dance Factory to bring 12 days of summer fun for all children on La Isla Bonita. Many talented dancers gathered at the SPDA Studio to learn some new dance moves which they will showcase at their final dance show coming up Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the San Pedro Lions Den. Mrs.

On her 46th birthday and 7th anniversary of her first date, Dr. Renae Sersland married David Reasa in a private ceremony held at the Courthouse in Belize City. She took along her two children and witnesses Charlene Woods and Sylvia Eiley who had been sworn to secrecy and had a lovely family dinner at the Wood’s residence in Palm Lane, Belize City.

The Isla Bonita Elementary School received a kind donation of 20 iPad tablets on Monday, June 23, 2014. The donation was made by an anonymous donor from The Sunshine Scholarship Foundation through the Northern Cross Foundation. The school received 20 – 16gb iPad (3rd generation) and they will be put to good use at the school’s computer lab.

In Disney grand style, Elina Palma celebrated her Quinceaños (15th birthday) under the theme of Cindarella this past Saturday, June 7, 2014. She donned her Cindarella fantasy dress and was transported to the San Pedro Roman Catholic Church in her carriage followed behind by her parents, family and god parents.

Ms. Sheila Chi was crowned Miss San Pedro High School 2014 over the weekend at the pageant that took place at the R. Angel Nuñez Auditorium on Saturday, May 31. Sheila also won the title of Miss Popularity and Miss Photogenic; First Runner-Up was Ms. Marisha Thompson.
