Port Authority now has Island Base
The Belize Port Authority is in charge of keeping Maritime Safety, Security and Control and is based at Belize. The Belize Port Authority now has a small office here in San Pedro where residents are able to renew their boat masters license and register and license their vessels. The office is located in the San Pablo Area on the corner of Marina Drive and Mullet Street. Open Hours are from Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m..
Gas Pump Stations Inspected in San Pedro
During the week of January 5, 2010, the Belize Bureau of Standards inspected and verified fuels pumps at gas stations in San Pedro. A conformance sticker bearing the Bureau’s logo, specifying the inspecting officer, date and location of the inspection was placed on the fuel pumps that were found to be accurate. These stickers are valid for a period of three months after the recorded inspection date.

El Gran Carnaval de San Pedro: “Alegria en el corazon – Que viva nuestra tradicion”. It is that time of the year when Sanpedranos, young and old, look forward to - El Gran Carnaval. This year San Pedro will celebrate, Carnaval, its most unique traditional celebration on February 14, 15 & 16. The San Pedro Town Council will officially start the celebrations on Saturday, February 13, with a Grand Carnaval Party that will be held at the Central Park.

Animal Planet’s Wild Recon to feature Belize
Beautiful Belize is being discovered little by little and it has gotten its fair share of publicity recently with international TV shows. Holiday Boat Parade Committee Gives Back To The Community
The San Pedro Holiday Boat Parade Committee has been working arduously year after year to provide residents every Christmas a spectacular Lighted Boat Parade. Businesses are always willing to donate to this committee and with additional funds collected this year, Jan Brown, Chairlady of the Boat Parade Committee was more than pleased to hand out monetary donations to three organizations in the island on Tuesday, January 12, at the San Pedro Town Council.

SP Thief linked to multiple burglaries. *The brave and commendable actions of Roxanne Ancona on the morning of Monday, January 4, when her home was invaded, led Police to the quick arrest of Victor Manuel Hernandez Quiroz, 18-year-old, Belizean unemployed of San Pedrito Area. He had no choice but to seek medical attention for his injury to his head and that was when he was identified and ended up in Police custody that same day.

Top Producer Scott Storch Working on Shyne's New Album
Shyne confirmed his determination to get to work on his new album this month after recruiting producer Shawty Redd to assist on the project. Redd reportedly flew out to Belize so the two could begin work on the long-awaited LP. Now, producer Scott Storch has revealed to AllHipHop that he will also help construct Shyne's forthcoming masterpiece.

Roxanne Ancona related to Ambergris Today what occurred early Monday morning at her home. “I was awakened by the barking of our puppy in our home. I came out of my room and checked the living room only to find a young man calmly searching my purse,” commented Mrs. Ancona.
